Sarah Dochow, MS, LMHC, CN, CDPT, is Cross Path's Clinical Director.  She holds Master's Degrees in both Psychology and Nutrition from Bastyr University and is a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Nutritionist.  She has extensive experience working with children, teens, families and parents.

 

 Sarah Dochow's therapeutic approach is client centered and interpersonal in nature, believing that people heal and change within the context of a supportive and accepting relationship.  She uses therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT+ and Trauma Focused CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness based therapies as tools to give clients the skills they need to create sustained changes in their lives.  In addition to effectively treating depression and anxiety disorders, Sarah has specialized training and experience working with individuals with eating disorders, substance use/abuse, trauma, and perinatal/postnatal mood disorders.

Furthermore, Sarah is licensed as a Certified Nutritionist and can provide nutrition consultations, especially as they relate to a person or family's relationship with food and to how nutrition affects mental health.
